PoolS Rules at Danbury and Cambridge
Members must have a key fob to enter the pool. No resident or lifeguard shall open the door for someone knocking to enter. If you have lost your fob, contact Elite Management at 919.233.7660 or the fobs can be ordered using the form at www.RegencyCommunities.com.
Guests must arrive and leave with their resident host. Hosts must be at least 16 years of age. Guests may not be in the pool area without their host. Homeowners are responsible for the actions of their guests and will be financially liable for any damages the guest may cause. Guests are not allowed during unguarded hours.
Trespassers will be dealt with on an individual basis. Note the posted “no trespassing” signs and the community’s agency relationship with Cary Police. Residents entering after hours are trespassing.
Glass containers are not permitted inside the pool fence.
Those under the age of 21 will not be allowed to possess or consume alcoholic beverages inside or outside of the pool area. Contact the police for assistance regarding this matter. Intoxicated persons (as determined by the pool manager or lifeguards on duty) are not permitted inside or outside of the pool area.
You may not enter the pool area during unguarded hours unless your waiver is on file with Elite and you are 18 years of age or older (or immediately supervised by a parent or guardian). No guests are permitted during unguarded hours. You must abide by the additional terms of the signed waiver at all times. No one may be inside the gate after pool closing hours. Unguarded access may be revoked by the Board at any time with/ without cause. Any individual breaking pool rules or damaging or removing pool property will be subject to disciplinary action and will be responsible for all damage, cleaning, repair, refill (water) and replacement costs.
Residents may not provide swim lessons unless in compliance with the HOA’s separate swim lesson rules. Contact the HOA to make these arrangements. Report lessons to Elite that you believe to be non-compliant.
Food, beverages, and their containers must be at least 10 feet from the edge of the pool. Gum chewing is not allowed in the pool area. Garbage cans and recycling containers have been provided for you; please leave the pool clean by picking up after yourself.
No smoking/ vaping on any common area, including pools, pool entrances, pool parking lot, tennis courts, etc.
No pets allowed in the pool area.
Running is not permitted in the pool area. Skateboards, bicycles or roller blades are not permitted in the pool area. Playing, loitering, or intentional messes in the bathrooms will not be tolerated.
Profanity and potentially dangerous behavior will not be tolerated. Individuals conducting themselves inappropriately will be required to leave the pool property. The Board authorizes the pool managers and lifeguards to exercise their own judgment in this area.
POOL
Those at risk of having a bathroom accident in the pool are required to wear secure fitting rubber pants. Swimmers ages 3 and under are required to wear a swim diaper at all times. Disposable diapers may not be worn in the pool. Swim diapers are not sufficient. Should an accident occur, the responsible party will be charged the cleanup and pool closure fee, a minimum of $100.
Lifeguards have been provided for your safety during hours shown on the pool schedule. Children may not be left unattended at the pool.
Children 11 years of age or younger must always be under the DIRECT supervision of a parent, guardian or designated sitter. Such persons must be at least 16 years of age.
The wading pool is for children 5 years of age and younger only. Each child must be under the direct supervision (within arm’s reach) of a parent or guardian of at least 16 years of age.
Showers are required before entering the pool.
Swimsuits are required for swimming. Cut-offs or street clothes are not permitted.
Persons with open sores, blisters or cuts should see the lifeguard before entering the pool to determine if they may enter the water. Band-Aids must be removed before swimming.
Diving is only allowed in the deep end of the pool as designated by the ropes. Front dives only. No flips.
Jumping or diving on top of a swimmer already in the water is not permitted. Hanging or holding on to the ropes is not permitted.
The lifeguard shall determine when the shallow area (1-3 ft.) shall be restricted to non-swimmers and their supervisors.
Only coast guard approved flotation devices are allowed. Water wings are not approved. When flotation devices are required to keep children’s head above the water, children must be within an arm length of parent or guardian, or the child’s feet must be firmly on the ground. Children who are unable to swim confidently without a flotation device shall not be permitted in the deep end of the pool. No floats over 3ft by 1ft in size allowed in the pool area.
Pool toys, including inflatable floats and water guns will be permitted in the pool only at the discretion of the pool manager or lifeguard on duty.
Ten minutes per hour will be designated as adult or adults with infants swim. Persons under the age of 18 must exit the pool at this time.
A lap lane has been provided for those swimming laps at any time during pool hours. Please respect those in the lane and do not play in the area.
The deck and/or pool will be cleared or closed at the first sound of thunder or lightning. The pool will remain closed until the lifeguard determines it is safe to use the pool, usually a minimum of 30 minutes.
Swimmers are not allowed to spit or spout water from their mouths back into the pool.
